In April 2010 I achieved Bronze PowerSeller status. So what does this mean??
Well…. Not a great deal actually. It’s just business as usual!
But, I do get to display the very cute logo next to my eBay username. I can also use it just about anywhere like on my About Me page, on paperwork sent to customers, and of course on this blog!!
Basically it means I have achieved the following things:-
- made $3000 worth of sales within a 12 month period
- had at least 100 transactions in a 12 month period
- maintained a minimum of 98% positive feedback score
- achieved at least 4.5 or higher in all four areas of DSR’s
- have an account in good financial standing. (meaning I’m paying my eBay fees!)
- had no more than the minimum number or 1 and 2 star ratings for DSR’s
- I have chosen to participate in the PowerSeller program (yes, believe it or not you don’t have to join and show the PowerSeller logo next to your eBay username!)
(Please Note:- At the moment it is a little confusing as to what the current requirements are to become a PowerSeller are. Some eBay help pages still refer to the old requirements. The above criteria is correct as of the changes made in April 2010.)
To keep my PowerSeller status I must maintain all the above performance requirements. These requirements are reviewed each month. So yes, I can loose this status if I drop my sales or my customers are not happy with my products and service.
The support I now receive is:-
- priority General email support 24/7 while others get answers to their emails within 36 hours.
- free phone support
- invitations to eBay events. eg. eBay Academy
- Quarterly email newsletters, which include eBay’s merchandising calenders, selling tips and category facts
- I can access the Powerseller Best Practice discussion board.
